Metallica Foundation Auctions James Hetfield-Inspired Machine to Fund Technical Education
Metallica's All Within My Hands foundation, in collaboration with CASE Construction Equipment and CNH, is auctioning a compact track loader inspired by James Hetfield. This specific unit, number 1 of a limited series of 25 'Hetskid' machines, is available for bidding on the Purple Wave platform until December 17. The TV450B model features a custom visual identity commissioned by Hetfield in 2024, with this first unit produced at the CASE factory in Wichita mirroring the configuration intended for the vocalist's own ranch. Beyond its collector's value, the machine retains its full functionality for heavy-duty tasks such as excavation, loading, and landscaping. The initiative aims to transform Hetfield's personal interest in machinery and manufacturing into direct financial support for students pursuing technical qualifications and entering the workforce.
