Amtrak Suspends Seattle-Portland Service Due to Track Obstruction from Warehouse Fire
Amtrak has suspended its service between Seattle and Portland through Friday due to a track obstruction caused by a warehouse fire near Portland. The fire, which occurred on August 2, left a critical section of track unusable, necessitating repairs. In the interim, Amtrak is providing alternate bus transportation for most scheduled trains, although some departures have been canceled due to limited bus availability. Affected customers are being offered flexible rebooking and refund options.
