Knightsbridge Road Near Harrods to Undergo Major Revamp
Plans have been unveiled for a major revamp of Hans Crescent, a road between Harrods and Knightsbridge Tube station in London. The joint venture by the Knightsbridge Estate and Harrods aims to enhance the area with improved lighting, public seating, and new greenery, including three new trees and 80 square meters of planting. The project, set to be completed by autumn 2026, will introduce six new seating areas, new lamp-posts, and space for temporary art installations. Michael Ward, Harrods' managing director, stated that the plans reflect a long-term commitment to the stewardship of Knightsbridge, aiming to create an inclusive and sustainable communal space.
