Monte Mills Celebrates 50 Years of Music in San Luis Obispo County
Monte Mills, a Western swing, country, and yodeling artist, is set to celebrate 50 years of performing music in San Luis Obispo County. Mills, who arrived on the Central Coast in 1972, has been a staple in the local music scene since 1976. Known for his performances at various iconic venues, Mills has become a legendary figure in the area. His career began with a recording session in Hollywood, leading to a long-standing gig at McLintocks Saloon, where he played for college crowds for 27 years. Mills continues to perform, with several shows scheduled for 2026, including a Golden Gala 50th Anniversary Reunion Party.
