ATIA Appoints CATO Chair Sean Martin to Board, Enhancing Tour Operator Expertise
The Australian Travel Industry Association (ATIA) has appointed Sean Martin, Chair of the Council of Australian Tour Operators (CATO) Committee, to its board of directors. This appointment follows Martin's election as Chair at the inaugural meeting of the CATO Committee, which he will now represent on the ATIA Board. Martin's role is to bridge the CATO Committee and the ATIA Board, ensuring that the priorities of Australia's tour operators and wholesalers are reflected in ATIA's advocacy and strategy. The integration of CATO with ATIA, effective from July 1, 2026, marks a significant step in unifying the voices within the travel industry. Martin joins Vice Chair Toni Ambler and Director Brett Mitchell, both of whom bring extensive touring sector experience to the board.
