Disney Animator Glen Keane Rescued from Mummy Mountain, Thanks Crew with Art
Glen Keane, a renowned Disney animator, was rescued from Mummy Mountain in Arizona after a hiking mishap. At 72, Keane was hiking with family when he became unable to descend the mountain. Phoenix and Tempe firefighters executed a steep-angle rope rescue, airlifting him to safety. Keane, known for animating iconic Disney characters, later visited the rescue crew to express gratitude, presenting them with a drawing depicting the rescue. The incident highlights the risks of hiking in extreme heat and the importance of preparedness.
