Saudi Arabia Advances Defense Localization with Strategic Partnerships
Saudi Arabia is making significant strides in its defense localization efforts as part of its Vision 2030 initiative. The country aims to localize over 50% of its military procurement by 2030, boosting local manufacturing and creating jobs. At the World Defense Show in Riyadh, officials highlighted the increase in domestic military spending and strategic partnerships with international defense companies. The General Authority for Military Industries (GAMI) is leading these efforts, focusing on developing local supply chains and engaging small- and medium-sized enterprises.
