She is set to speak at the Farm Progress Show in Boone on Tuesday. This visit follows an appearance by U.S. Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) in Clive, where he headlined U.S. Rep. Ashley Hinson’s annual “Ashley’s BBQ Bash.” Senator Cruz, who won the 2016 Iowa Caucuses, emphasized Iowa's status as a battleground state. These visits are part of a broader trend of prominent Republican officials, including several from the Trump administration, making appearances in Iowa as the Republican Party aims to maintain its majorities in Congress during the upcoming November mid-term elections.
