US District Court Orders Resumption of Wind Project Approvals Amid DoD Dispute
A US District Court in Oregon has mandated the US government to resume the approval process for wind projects, which had been halted since August 2025. The Department of Defense (DoD) had previously stopped participating in the approval process, citing national security concerns related to radar interference from wind turbines. The court ruled that the DoD's actions were not legally justified, as the process is mandated by law. The ruling requires the DoD to adhere to the congressionally mandated schedule for approving wind projects and to report on its progress every 30 days.
