Rainstorm and Fierce Winds Hit Southern California
A significant weather event is impacting California, bringing rain and strong winds to various regions. According to the Los Angeles Times, the National Weather Service has forecasted that Los Angeles and Ventura counties will experience light rain, with amounts ranging from one-tenth to one-third of an inch, peaking between 11 a.m. and 8 p.m. on Tuesday. Strong winds are expected to make driving challenging, particularly for high-profile vehicles. Gusts could reach up to 65 mph on the desert slopes of the San Bernardino Mountains, 60 mph in Death Valley and the San Gorgonio Pass, and 50 mph over the San Gabriel Mountains and Antelope Valley. The storm is also expected to bring more substantial precipitation to Northern California and the Central Valley, with potential thunderstorms and small hail.
