Clarksville Library Launches Summer Reading Program with 'Touch A Truck' Event
The Clarksville Montgomery County Public Library is set to launch its annual Summer Reading Program with a 'Touch A Truck' event on June 6. This free, family-friendly event will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Veterans Plaza in front of the Main Library. A sensory-friendly time is scheduled from 9:30 to 10 a.m. to accommodate those who prefer a quieter experience. The event will feature a variety of vehicles such as fire trucks, police cars, and construction equipment, allowing attendees to explore and learn about them. Participants will also have the opportunity to meet the professionals who operate these vehicles. The event will include games, crafts, and giveaways, with local food trucks providing refreshments. The Summer Reading Program, themed 'Unearth A Story,' will run from June 6 through July 18, offering activities for all ages at the Main and North library branches. Participants can track their reading progress through ReadSquared to earn awards.
