Mary's Center Utilizes Grant to Enhance Remote Patient Monitoring for Underserved Communities
Mary's Center, a community health center in Washington, D.C., has been awarded the 2026 Dr. Cesar A. Caceres Innovation in Healthcare award along with a $250,000 grant from the Medical Society of the District of Columbia’s Healthy Physician Foundation. This funding will be used to implement remote patient monitoring technology, allowing patients to securely share health information from home. The initiative aims to support patients with chronic medical, behavioral health, or maternal health needs, focusing on building scalable systems that integrate with electronic health records. The center's approach includes telehealth and in-home visits, aiming to provide continuous and proactive support, particularly for underserved communities. The grant will help Mary's Center enhance its infrastructure to deliver higher-quality, community-based care beyond traditional clinic settings.
