Beaufort-Jasper YMCA Receives $7,500 Grant for Child Care Expansion
The Beaufort-Jasper YMCA of the Lowcountry has been awarded a $7,500 grant from Sparklight’s Charitable Giving Fund. This funding is specifically allocated to support the expansion of the YMCA's child care services, particularly for its new James Fisher child care location in the Lowcountry. The grant will cover essential costs such as licensing, equipment, and supplies, with the primary goal of increasing access to affordable child care for local families. Sparklight, an internet and mobile provider serving communities across 24 states, recently distributed over $125,000 to 28 nonprofit organizations as part of its charitable giving cycle. These grants focus on initiatives related to children and families, education, digital literacy, hunger relief, and community development.
