Israel Establishes Elite Task Force to Target October 7 Terrorists
Following the October 7 massacre, Israel has formed an elite task force named NILI, which stands for 'Netzach Yisrael Lo Yeshaker' or 'The Eternal One of Israel does not lie.' This task force is dedicated to tracking down and either killing or capturing every Hamas terrorist involved in the attack. The Wall Street Journal reports that the task force has a list of thousands of names, with many already targeted. The task force employs various methods, including facial recognition and cellphone data, to identify and locate these individuals. The initiative underscores Israel's commitment to ensuring that no victim of the attack is forgotten, as stated by Shalom Ben Hanan, a former senior official in the Shin Bet.
