Virgin Voyages Launches Kid-Free Alaska Cruises from Seattle
Virgin Voyages has officially launched its first Alaska cruise season, with the Brilliant Lady departing from Seattle. This adult-only cruise line offers a unique experience tailored to the Pacific Northwest, featuring Alaska-specific programming. Guests can enjoy workshops led by a Cultural Heritage Guide from Alaska Native Voices, focusing on Indigenous art, storytelling, and contemporary Alaskan culture. The ship also introduces two new onboard characters: a Lumberjack highlighting Ketchikan's timber history and a Naturalist covering wildlife and ecology. Culinary offerings include eight Alaska-inspired dishes, such as king crab, Alaskan halibut, and black cod. Sustainability is a key focus, with over half of the shore excursions operated by certified sustainable tour operators. The ship is equipped with advanced wastewater treatment and shore power capabilities, and a full-time wildlife expert is onboard to enhance the experience.
