Little Rock Public Radio Newsroom Receives Multiple Journalism Awards for Excellence
Little Rock Public Radio (LRPR) has been recognized with several prestigious journalism awards, highlighting the excellence of its reporting team. The LRPR newsroom received top honors in various categories at the Arkansas Press Women 2026 Communications Contest. Politics and Government Reporter Josie Lenora was awarded three first-place prizes, including for her report on an Arkansas white supremacist group that gained international attention. Lenora, along with Morning Edition host Nathan Treece, also won a first-place award for their on-the-scene coverage of the 'No Kings' protests in Little Rock. Additionally, LRPR's flagship podcast, Track One, won the Radio Television Digital News Association’s 2026 Regional Murrow Award for Best Podcast in the small market category for Region 9, which includes Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi, and Alabama. These regional winners will advance to the national competition, with results expected in August.
