NFL Kicker's Missed Field Goal Leads to Life-Saving Discovery for Kentucky Man
Mark Toothaker, a resident of Lexington, Kentucky, experienced a life-changing event while watching a New York Giants game. During the game, Giants kicker Younghoe Koo missed a field goal attempt, which caused Toothaker to laugh so hard that he had a seizure. His wife, Malory, a nurse, quickly called 911, leading to the discovery of a tennis-ball-sized tumor on Toothaker's brain. The tumor was successfully removed and was found to be benign. Toothaker, who had no prior symptoms, credits the missed kick for saving his life, as the seizure could have occurred under more dangerous circumstances, such as while driving.
