Colorado Copper Project Joins U.S. DOE AI Initiative for Mineral Exploration
Metallic Minerals Corp.'s La Plata project in Colorado has been selected for a U.S. Department of Energy-supported initiative to develop AI technologies for critical minerals exploration. The project, led by the Colorado School of Mines, aims to integrate geological data with AI to improve exploration efficiency. The initiative involves collaboration with the National Laboratory of the Rockies and the Colorado Geological Survey. La Plata will serve as a test site for AI-assisted exploration technologies, focusing on copper and other critical minerals.
