Las Vegas Faces Extended Extreme Heat Warning Amid Record Temperatures
Las Vegas is experiencing an extended extreme heat warning, with temperatures reaching record highs. The National Weather Service has extended the warning through Wednesday, as temperatures have consistently exceeded 110 degrees Fahrenheit. On Saturday, Harry Reid International Airport recorded a temperature of 115 degrees, marking the hottest day of 2026 and nearing historical records. In response, Clark County has activated cooling stations across the valley to provide relief for residents and visitors. These stations are located in community centers, libraries, and other public buildings, offering a respite from the oppressive heat.
