Tiny Health Secures $33 Million in Series B Funding to Expand Microbiome Testing
Tiny Health, a company specializing in at-home gut and vaginal microbiome tests, has successfully raised $33 million in an oversubscribed Series B funding round. This brings their total funding to $46 million. The round was led by B Capital, with continued participation from existing and new investors. The company, founded by Cheryl Sew Hoy, has seen significant growth, with revenue crossing eight figures and doubling annually. Their business model is split between direct-to-consumer (DTC) sales and a business-to-business (B2B) arm called 'Powered by Tiny.' While initially focused on tests for babies and parents, adult testing now surpasses pediatric testing in volume. Tiny Health has also recently introduced new metrics to its test reports, including Microbiome Age, Gut Resilience, and Gut Body Connections insights, and utilizes an AI tool, TinyAI, to provide tailored guidance based on nearly 200,000 microbiome profiles.
