US Considers Expanding Nuclear Deployments in European NATO States
The US is discussing the possibility of deploying nuclear weapons in additional European NATO states, according to a report by the Financial Times. This consideration comes as part of ongoing discussions within NATO channels. The move would involve deploying US dual-capable aircraft capable of delivering nuclear strikes. Countries on NATO's eastern flank, such as Poland and the Baltic States, have expressed interest in hosting these bases. However, an agreement to expand US nuclear hosting is not imminent, and discussions are still underway.
