UK and Space Florida Launch Joint Fund to Boost Space Innovation
The UK and Space Florida have launched a joint fund of £300,000 ($401,000) to foster innovative space partnerships. Announced at the Farnborough Air Show, the fund is supported by the UKSA’s International Bilateral Fund and Space Florida’s International Aerospace Innovation Fund. It aims to support projects with partners in both regions, focusing on space transportation, satellite systems, in-space research, and advanced exploration. The initiative seeks to create commercial opportunities for UK companies in the U.S. market, enhancing international collaboration in the space sector. The fund is part of a broader effort to strengthen ties between the UK and Florida, with a call for projects expected this fall and selections in early 2027.
