Gov. Hochul Criticized for Alec Baldwin's Trump Spoof at NY Correspondents Event
Governor Kathy Hochul participated in a video spoof featuring Alec Baldwin impersonating President Trump at the annual state house correspondents event in Albany. The video, which was played at the Legislative Correspondents’ Association event, mimicked Baldwin's well-known Saturday Night Live portrayal of Trump. In the sketch, Baldwin, as Trump, humorously demands that New York landmarks be renamed after him, leading to a comedic exchange with Hochul. The video also touched on topics like the Epstein files and inflation, drawing mixed reactions. While some attendees found the video amusing, online critics labeled it as 'cringe-worthy' and accused Hochul of pandering. Assemblyman Jarret Gandolfo commented on the irony of Baldwin's Epstein joke, given Baldwin's own alleged connections to the Epstein files.
