Severe Storms and Heavy Rain Expected in Maryland on Tuesday
Maryland is set to experience another round of strong to severe storms and heavy rain on Tuesday, prompting the declaration of a First Alert Weather Day. Scattered showers and storms are expected to develop in the morning, with activity intensifying by mid-afternoon, particularly in the Baltimore metro area. The peak of the stormy weather is anticipated late in the afternoon, coinciding with the evening commute. The storms may bring gusty winds, heavy rain, and lightning, with a low risk of hail and isolated tornadoes. Conditions are expected to improve later in the evening as the storms move west to east. Following the storms, humidity levels will gradually decrease through Wednesday, with hot and humid weather returning by the weekend.
