MEP Mullooly Urges EU Parliament to Reject Budget Without Agricultural Protections
Ciaran Mullooly, a Midlands-North-West MEP, has called on the European Parliament to reject the upcoming EU budget if it does not adequately protect agriculture and rural communities. During a parliamentary debate, Mullooly emphasized the importance of the next seven-year budget in providing stability to citizens, farmers, regions, and businesses. He stressed the need for sufficient funding for the Common Agricultural Policy and rural development programs, such as Leader, to ensure food security and support for rural areas.
