U.S. Digital Corps Graduates Largest Class, Enhancing Federal Tech Initiatives
The General Services Administration recently celebrated the graduation of 71 fellows from the U.S. Digital Corps, marking the largest class since the program's inception. These fellows have contributed to various federal technology projects, including updating the FedRAMP website and streamlining environmental reviews for the Agriculture Department. The program, launched in August 2021, aims to place early career technologists in federal agencies to address the government's need for tech talent. Some graduates will continue in civil service, while others will transition to the private sector. The initiative is part of a broader effort by the federal government to attract young talent, including the U.S. Tech Force, which seeks to hire 1,000 technologists for two-year stints.
