Meta Declines to Remove Posts Calling for Violence Against Muslims, Citing Community Guidelines
Meta, the parent company of Facebook, has declined to remove several posts that contain Islamophobic and anti-Arab content, including calls for violence against Muslims. These posts, some of which feature AI-generated imagery, include rhetoric comparing Muslims to “cockroaches” and statements like “it’s time for hunting.” One prominent example is an AI-generated flyer shared by white supremacist social media personality Jake Lang, which calls for a “crusader march on Dearborn” to “stop the Islamification of America.” This flyer depicts Catholic crusaders attacking Arabs with swords, referencing historical religious conflicts.
