Bradley International Airport Expands Parking Capacity with 1,500 New Spaces to Meet Growing Demand
Bradley International Airport is undertaking a significant expansion of its parking facilities, adding approximately 1,500 new parking spaces. This initiative comes in response to increasing passenger traffic and the frequent occurrence of existing parking lots reaching full capacity during peak travel periods. The new surface parking lot will be constructed in the airport's former rental car area. This project is part of a broader effort by airport leaders to prepare for future demand and enhance the overall efficiency and passenger experience at Bradley International Airport. Once this project is completed, the airport will have added over 2,000 parking spaces through recent expansion efforts, including the growth of Surface Lot 3 on Schoephoester Road by about 14 acres. The expansion aims to alleviate the challenges travelers face in finding available and affordable parking, as highlighted by passenger experiences where less expensive lots are often full, forcing them to use more costly alternatives.
