Hackers have exploited Meta's AI-powered support chatbot to infiltrate high-profile Instagram accounts, including those associated with Barack Obama's White House account, Sephora, and the US Space Force Chief Master Sergeant. The breach was confirmed by Meta, which stated that the issue has been resolved and affected accounts are being secured. Hackers used the AI assistant to link accounts to new email addresses, allowing them to reset passwords. This incident raises concerns about the security of AI-driven support systems, especially in handling sensitive tasks like password management.
