Survodutide's Dizziness Side Effect Analyzed in Clinical Trials
Survodutide, an investigational weight loss medication, has been reported to cause dizziness in clinical trials. The drug, which targets both GLP-1 and glucagon receptors, is in late-stage trials for obesity and metabolic-associated steatohepatitis. Dizziness, a documented side effect, is generally mild to moderate and dose-dependent. The dual receptor mechanism of survodutide can affect blood pressure and heart rate, contributing to lightheadedness. This side effect is more common during dose escalation phases. While dizziness is manageable with hydration and careful movement, severe or persistent symptoms require medical evaluation.
