Jacksonville Mayor Encourages Community Participation in Time Capsule Project
Jacksonville is inviting its residents, businesses, and organizations to contribute letters to a community time capsule. The initiative, announced by Jacksonville Mayor Andy Ezard, aims to capture the essence of the current era for future generations. Participants are encouraged to submit letters that include personal stories, hopes for the future, and reflections on life in Jacksonville today. The deadline for submissions is March 2, and envelopes for the time capsule can be purchased for $20 at the Jacksonville Area Chamber of Commerce. Mayor Ezard emphasized the importance of this project as a means to communicate with future generations, highlighting it as an opportunity to share the community's values and historical significance.
