Spotify Introduces AI-Generated Personal Podcasts for Users
Spotify is expanding its platform to include AI-generated personal podcasts, allowing users to create and listen to personalized audio content. This development follows the trend of apps like Google’s NotebookLM, Hero, and Adobe Acrobat, which have enabled users to generate podcasts from documents and daily plans. Spotify's new feature requires specific programming tools, such as OpenAI’s Codex, Anthropic’s Claude Code, or OpenClaw, to create podcasts via Spotify’s beta CLI tool. These podcasts are stored in the user's personal library and are not accessible to other Spotify users. Users can create audio sessions by providing specific prompts to the AI, such as historical events or personal schedules, and receive a special link to their podcast on Spotify.
