New Tool Predicts Health Risks for Obesity-Related Conditions
Researchers at Queen Mary University of London and the Berlin Institute of Health have developed a screening tool to predict health risks for individuals with obesity. The tool uses 20 health measures, including blood tests and demographic data, to assess the risk of 18 obesity-related diseases. This model, known as OBSCORE, aims to provide a more personalized approach to identifying individuals at higher risk of conditions like type 2 diabetes and heart disease, potentially leading to earlier interventions and improved health outcomes.
