George Barris Customized 1970 Cadillac Eldorado Auctioned on Bring a Trailer
A 1970 Cadillac Eldorado, customized by the renowned car customizer George Barris, is currently up for auction on Bring a Trailer. Known as the 'del Cavallero,' this vehicle epitomizes the extravagant style of the 1970s, featuring extensive chrome, gold accents, and whitewall tires. The car's design includes massive headlights reminiscent of World War II anti-aircraft batteries, a signature of Barris's over-the-top style. This particular model, painted in 'Money Green,' houses a Cadillac 500-cubic-inch V-8 engine, originally rated at 400 horsepower and 550 pound-feet of torque. Despite its powerful engine, the Eldorado is front-wheel drive, which limits its performance as a dragster. The auction for this unique vehicle is set to conclude on May 13.
