Air Force Engages Salesforce for AI-Driven Personnel Modernization
The U.S. Air Force has entered into a $72 million enterprise license agreement with Salesforce to modernize its personnel management and other functions using artificial intelligence. This agreement is part of a larger $5.6 billion contract initially signed between Salesforce and the Army, which is open to all branches of the Defense Department. The initiative aims to enhance situational awareness and unify business functions such as personnel management. The Air Force will utilize Salesforce's Missionforce National Security offering, which includes AI tools designed to optimize resource allocation and equip Airmen and Guardians with agile technology for dynamic mission environments. The agreement also seeks to consolidate contracts, reduce contract actions, and achieve volume-based savings, while connecting the Air Force's digital infrastructure to improve personnel recruiting and logistics.
