Storm Threat Spreads From Plains to Northeast, 130M at Risk
A renewed severe weather outbreak is unfolding from Tuesday through Wednesday, impacting more than 130 million people from Texas to New York. On Tuesday, the highest tornado risk targets areas near Chicago and Milwaukee, with threats of large hail, damaging winds and strong tornadoes developing by afternoon and evening. Storms expand farther east into the Northeast. By Wednesday, the focus shifts toward the Mississippi Valley, where repeated storms could bring heavy rain and increasing flash flood risks across already saturated regions.
