Pakistan and China Sign MoUs to Enhance Cooperation in Desalination and Agriculture
Pakistan and China have signed three memorandums of understanding (MoUs) in Changsha, focusing on water desalination in Karachi, agricultural technology, and cooperation in the tea sector. The signing ceremony was attended by President Asif Ali Zardari and senior Sindh officials, marking continued engagement between the two countries in priority sectors. The MoUs aim to enhance cooperation across industrial sectors, strengthen economic, trade, and people-to-people ties. The first MoU involves a project to convert seawater into potable water to boost supply in Karachi, while the second focuses on promoting cooperation in agricultural technology. The third agreement relates to cooperation in the tea sector, involving multiple companies from both countries.
