Pacific Surfliner Expands Service with New Daily Roundtrip Between LA and San Luis Obispo
The LOSSAN Rail Corridor Agency, along with the Ventura County Transportation Commission and the Santa Barbara County Association of Governments, announced the launch of a new daily Amtrak Pacific Surfliner roundtrip service between Los Angeles and San Luis Obispo starting May 4. This initiative aims to enhance regional mobility by providing more options for commuters and leisure travelers along California's Central Coast. The Pacific Surfliner will now offer six daily trips to Goleta and three daily trips to San Luis Obispo, improving connectivity during peak weekday travel periods. The train travels 351 miles along the Southern California coastline, serving 29 stations and is the second busiest state-supported intercity passenger rail route in the U.S.
