Smithsonian Family Day Offers Cultural and Educational Activities for Families
The Smithsonian Family Day is set to take place on Saturday, July 25, 2026, at the Arts and Industries Building on the National Mall in Washington, D.C. This free event, running from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., is designed to engage families and children with a variety of cultural and educational activities. The event will feature live performances by The Washington Ballet and the Dylan Lizza Jazz Quartet, as well as historical reenactments of figures like George Washington and Amelia Earhart. Additionally, there will be hands-on STEM and art activities, and appearances by PBS KIDS characters. The event also marks the last opportunity to view the 'American Aspirations' exhibition at the Smithsonian Castle before it closes on July 26.
