Nearly 250 Dogs Rescued from Kentucky Hoarding Site
In Kentucky, a significant animal rescue operation has taken place, involving nearly 250 dogs found in overcrowded and neglected conditions on a property near the Adair-Metcalfe county line. The animals, which include a variety of breeds and ages, were discovered after a tip-off to the Kentucky State Police. The homeowner, whose late mother was a breeder, surrendered the animals to avoid legal action. The dogs were found in cages, under cars, and rummaging through trash. Many of the rescued animals have been transported to Louisville and other states for care and rehoming.
