The Pentagon has strongly denied these allegations, dismissing them as 'race-baiting garbage.' Chief Pentagon spokesman Sean Parnell stated that military promotions are based on merit and not influenced by race or gender. The report has sparked controversy, with some defense officials describing Hegseth's actions as 'highly unusual.' This development follows previous reports suggesting that Hegseth has blocked or delayed promotions across the military based on race, gender, or perceived political affiliations.
