UK's DSIT Enhances Cybersecurity for Government Organizations
The UK's Department of Science, Innovation and Technology (DSIT) is actively working to secure over half a million domains across various government organizations, including the National Health Service (NHS). At the Infosecurity Europe 2026 conference, Nick Woodcraft, service owner for vulnerability monitoring at DSIT, discussed the department's approach to managing cybersecurity vulnerabilities. DSIT focuses on simplifying complex technical issues for non-expert organizations, emphasizing the importance of understanding outcomes rather than technical details. The department uses Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) solutions and online resources to disseminate information effectively, ensuring that organizations can prioritize and address vulnerabilities efficiently.
