Metrobus Crashes into D.C. Restaurant, Injuring Three Individuals
A Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority bus collided with a restaurant in the Shaw neighborhood of Washington, D.C., on Saturday morning. The incident occurred at the intersection of Seventh Street NW and Q Street NW. According to the D.C. Fire and Emergency Medical Services Department, the crash involved a Metrobus and an SUV, resulting in the bus partially entering the Balkan restaurant Ambar. Fortunately, the restaurant was unoccupied at the time. Three individuals, including the bus driver, a passenger, and the SUV driver, sustained minor injuries and were transported to the hospital. Efforts are underway to remove the bus from the restaurant, with initial assessments indicating no significant structural damage to the building.
