San Diego Foundation Awards Over $800,000 for Green Space Projects to Combat Climate Challenges
The San Diego Foundation has announced grants totaling $806,495 to support 23 organizations in creating greener, healthier communities across San Diego County. The funding, part of the Growing Green Spaces program, will be used to plant trees, expand community gardens, and restore native landscapes. These projects aim to address some of the region's most pressing climate and environmental challenges, such as extreme heat and poor air quality. The initiative also includes a partnership with the San Diego Women’s Foundation, which contributed additional funding to support these efforts.
