Ben-Gurion Airport Launches Tender to Address Parking Shortage with Advanced Technologies
Ben-Gurion Airport is taking significant steps to address its longstanding parking challenges by launching a tender for the management and operation of its parking facilities. The Israel Airports Authority aims to enhance services by incorporating advanced technologies across 27 parking lots, which collectively offer approximately 20,000 spaces. The selected operator will manage all aspects of the parking system, including short-term and long-term facilities, payment collection, and traffic management. The initiative is designed to improve the experience for millions of passengers, visitors, and employees who use the airport annually. The new system will feature remote monitoring, automated payment stations, and smart parking solutions to reduce waiting times and improve traffic flow.
