The committee accuses Trump and FIFA of engaging in a 'bribery and corruption scheme' that allegedly enriched themselves at the expense of soccer fans globally. Representative Jamie Raskin has requested FIFA to provide documents related to its dealings with Trump, including visitor logs for its office in Trump Tower. The investigation also scrutinizes FIFA's decision to sell a major stake in the World Cup to a firm associated with the Kushner family, further entrenching Trump's influence in the organization. The committee's concerns include FIFA's exorbitant ticket prices and the alleged dismissal of Justice Department indictments against FIFA for corruption.
