ICE Pursuit in Houston Ends in Crash, Suspect with Final Removal Order Remains at Large
A car chase involving Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) in northwest Houston concluded with a crash on Saturday morning. The incident occurred near Fallbrook Drive and Veterans Memorial Drive around 6:40 a.m. The suspect, who authorities confirmed has a final removal order, fled the scene on foot into nearby woods and has not yet been apprehended. During the pursuit, the suspect's vehicle collided with another car, causing it to flip. The occupants of the flipped vehicle sustained minor injuries. Additionally, an ICE agent was injured while attempting to break the driver-side window of the suspect's vehicle at an earlier point in the chase, cutting their arm on the glass. A passenger in the suspect's vehicle initially refused medical treatment but later went to the hospital. The Harris County Sheriff's Office assisted ICE in the pursuit, and deputies used a K9 unit to track the suspect, but the scent was ultimately lost.
