In April, the private sector added 109,000 jobs, exceeding economists' expectations of 99,000, according to ADP's latest report. This growth was led by the education and health services sectors, which added 61,000 positions. Other sectors such as trade, transportation, and utilities also saw significant gains. The report highlights a stabilizing labor market, with small and large businesses showing strong hiring activity. Wage growth for those staying in their roles increased by 4.4% annually, while those changing jobs saw a 6.6% increase. Despite these positive trends, some sectors like professional and business services experienced job losses.
