The incident involved a crush of fans in the south stands, leading to chaos and injuries. Initial reports suggested a wall collapse, but this was later denied by both the team and police. The Peruvian Ministry of Health confirmed the injuries, which included three minors. Emergency services, including fire brigades, were on the scene, and the injured were transported to hospitals. Despite the incident, the Peruvian professional soccer league announced that the match would proceed as planned.
