The Safal Kiswahili Prize for African Literature marks its 10th anniversary, celebrating its role in expanding the contemporary Kiswahili literary canon. Co-founded by Dr. Lizzy Attree and Mukoma wa Ngũgĩ, the prize was established to recognize and promote creative writing in Kiswahili, a widely spoken African language.
